The Impact of recession on the Indian market

We observed that the impact of recession on the Indian market has not been as severe as in some of the global markets. The recession gave a very welcome tampering to the uncontrolled growth in the economy and the market. The growth rate which was getting close to double digit slowed down a little, but it was a breath of fresh air for the Indian businesses, the Indian consumer and the Indian market in general. It gave a chance for everyone to reflect on refining their fundamental strategies and position themselves for future growth.

The economy seems to be kicking back into full steam again. But, this time around the markets are more ready for it and might not snap at the seams with the rapid growth.

Because of the constant ups and downs in the market during this growth phase, understanding the changing dynamics of the market which has the clock speed of “monthly change” as compared to the clock speed of a decade for change, in the old socialist India, creates the need for market research to be completed in a much more dynamic manner so that the companies can keep up with these changes and benefit from the growing market.
